Agriturismo Conte Pompeo
Farmholiday in Umbria, next to Orvieto, in an environment of unspoiled nature.
www.contepompeo.itThe "agriturismo" is an old rural village, located 580 m above sea level, close to Orvieto, offering exceptional vistas. It is at a point where three regions meet: Umbria, Lazio, and Toscana. It is surrounded by a fenced-in private reserve which is part of an agricultural complex of 60 hectares (woods, cereal fields, grassy areas, vegetable gardens, livestock.) The complex in turn lies in a pristine nature reserve of more than 6,000 hectares in extent, which offers the possibility of participating in excursions, either on foot, or on horseback, or on bicycle or simply to relax in an environment of unmatched beauty. Numerous wild animals live in the woods, and it is not difficult to meet them: foxes, hares, owls, pheasants, quail, porcupines, deer, roebucks, badgers, polecats, hawks, etc.The "agriturismo" is made up of several buildings and has also an old stone cellar with underground chamber and fireplace for wine tasting. The "agriturismo" gets its name from an ancestor of the owner, Count Pompeo Aventi of Castelfalcino, himself a descendant of Napoleone Bonaparte
