Italy Perfect

Exceptional Vacation Rentals in Italy - Italy Perfect is dedicated to your enjoyment of travel in Italy.www.italyperfect.com
This is a family business with a mission! We want you to love visiting Italy as much as we do. We are sisters Lisa and Pat Byrne who lived in Italy in our youth and now travel there frequently for business and pleasure. We collaborate with other sisters who are also in the vacation rental business at ParisPerfect.com and LondonPerfect.com. We all have come to this business from various previous careers as executives: Pat, from high tech marketing, travel and hospitality and Lisa from public relations where she was a Director at Apple Computer. A particular interest of Pat's is helping families enjoy their travels and to that end she wrote the Italy Discovery Journal, a fun little book that helps kids (and their families) discover their own Italy.
Italy Perfect merits an A+ ranking with the Better Business Bureau, was named a Favorite by Slow Travel, has received an award of Excellence by TripAdvisor. In 2012 Lisa and Pat were named the top Florence, Italy Vacation Rental Agents by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine.
We offer only short term rentals that we carefully hand pick for their locations, furnishings, amenities, and that we can personally recommend and would want to stay in ourselves. We travel frequently to inspect, and usually stay in, the rentals we represent. We select vacation rentals that offer charm, good locations, cleanliness, quality furnishings and hospitable welcomes. We count the number of steps up to the property, check the size of the refrigerator, shower, listen for noise, inventory the kitchen equipment and even inspect the mattresses. This is our most important point of differentiation which sets us apart from many other vacation rental firms. Even with careful advance research and personal connections, we still choose to not represent more than 50% of the properties we visit. And, once we agree to represent a property we regularly re-inspect it to ensure our standards are being met. When a villa or apartment is offered directly by the owner through their own website, or on a website where they can buy a listing, there are often important omissions in their photos and descriptions. For example, we recently declined to represent a gorgeous, formal villa just outside Florence when we saw the excavations for the high-speed train tunnel running right at the edge of the property. There is no mention of that on the owner's property description; there never will be. We really looked forward to visiting a charmingly decorated apartment in a great location in Rome to find the decorating obscured by bric-a-brac, the room layout cramped, dark and airless, and the windows overlooking a very busy street and the outdoor eating area of a restaurant. We will not send our guests there to experience the street noises late into the night while they open windows wide to try to get in some air. Another Roman reject is a conveniently located villa with large, luminous apartments with sheets thrown over stained sofas, beds tucked in every possible corner in order to sleep a crowd, sagging mattresses, tired kitchens and decor; things you just don't see in the beautiful photos on their website. We know how much time and money our guests invest to find the right vacation property so we try to be as generous as possible with information and photos so that you have a good idea of what to expect once you arrive.
We typically choose only properties that are organized for vacation rentals, not situations when the owners move out (but usually only partially) for the rentals. Our point of view is that we will represent all the wonderful aspects of the property and will be totally honest about things that we think could be concerns for our clients. If you want to know whether your personal needs are met by a certain property, please just ask!
While you may select your plane reservations and automobile rental from a self-service internet site, choosing your rental villa or apartment in Italy through an online catalog is risky. Each vacation apartment or villa has its own attributes that cannot be quantified or categorized with some stars and symbols alone. You can see great photos that fail to disclose real drawbacks. Customer testimonials are helpful but can also be misleading when the reviewers do not have the experience to compare properties; they may consider a place great or awful depending on their own state of mind while there. "Will it work for my party or family?" is your question and we believe you deserve a personal response to that question and welcome your questions through our contact form.
There is something to love in Italy for everyone. If you love art and history, Italy is marvelous. But you don't have to be crazy about art and history, nor do you have to speak Italian. Do you like fashion, shopping, cars, geology, photography, relaxation, hiking, biking...? There are riches of every sort waiting for you in Italy. And the foundation for your enjoyment of Italy is its rich culture and wonderful people. It is impossible to appreciate the Italian culture in a dispassionate manner; you will, at every turn, meet the hospitable, gentle, courteous, friendly, and happy Italian people. That is why vacation rentals are so wonderful; you get to meet people and the culture in person.
